WELDER

Address: 7649 Kimble Street Mississauga, ON L5S 1A7

Salary: $36.25 Hourly / 30 hours per week   

Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Type: Permanent employment

Duties:

 

  • Interpret welding process specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal.
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes,indentations and seams of metal.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.

 

 Eligibility Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in written and spoken English to accurately follow technical instructions, safety protocols, and job orders
  • Position requires full on-site presence in a workshop environment; remote work is not applicable
  • Able to work in demanding conditions, including outdoor exposure to dust, fumes, heat, noise, and industrial surroundings
  • Capable of safely handling heavy metal components, welding tools, and equipment in a physically intensive environment
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure precision welding, quality workmanship, and compliance with safety and industry standards
  • Dependable, adaptable, and able to perform efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced production or repair setting
