Job description:
Duties:
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
- Inspect mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions
- Review and interpret work orders to determine required repairs
- Test automotive systems and components using diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace parts of automotive and truck-trailer systems
- Perform repairs according to manufacturer specifications
- Test and adjust repaired systems to ensure proper performance
- Estimate parts and labour costs for maintenance and repair jobs
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance services
- Advise customers on repairs completed and future maintenance needs
- Complete reports documenting diagnostics, repairs, and services performed
Eligibility Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills to understand instructions, safety procedures, and work orders.
- Work must be performed on-site at the repair shop, with no option for remote work.
- Work environment may include outdoor conditions and exposure to dust, heat, noise, odours, and dirty surroundings.
- Ability to handle heavy-duty truck and trailer components, tools, and equipment in a physically demanding repair environment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnostics, high-quality repairs, and compliance with safety and manufacturer standards
- Demonstrates reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic while working efficiently in a fast-paced repair shop

Salary: $36 to 40 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
