Accounting Clerk(NOC 14200)

Job details:

$29.50 hourly for 30 hours per week

Permanent employment-Full time

Starts as soon as possible

Languages: English proficiency

Requirements: High school graduation required, Relevant Work Experience

Work location: Vernon, BC

 

Tasks:

  • Process and review financial documents such as invoices, receipts, and payment records to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing funds, including tracking amounts owed and payments received
  • Enter and update financial information in accounting systems and spreadsheets, ensuring all entries are properly recorded
  • Compare financial records against bank statements and other supporting documents to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining accounting files, including both electronic records and physical documentation
  • Support the preparation of periodic financial summaries and internal reports by compiling relevant financial data
  • Check financial transactions and supporting documents for accuracy, and follow up on any inconsistencies or missing information
  • Assist with payroll-related tasks by maintaining employee payment records and supporting documentation
  • Respond to inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account details from clients, vendors, and internal staff
  •  Use accounting software and digital tools to manage, track, and organize financial data efficiently
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and timely processing of financial transactions
  • Monitor outstanding balances and assist in following up with clients or vendors to ensure timely payments
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure records are handled in accordance with company policies
  •  Provide general support to the accounting function by assisting with day-to-day financial and clerical tasks
