Position: Child Caregiver – Private Home
We are looking for a caring and responsible Childcare Provider who can support children in a safe, positive, and engaging environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to child well-being, provide attentive supervision, and plan age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and healthy emotional and social development. The role requires patience, reliability, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and daily needs.
Job duties:
- Supervise and care for a 10-year-old child throughout the day.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks, ensuring healthy and balanced nutrition.
- Support the child’s emotional well-being and social development.
- Plan and engage the child in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, including games, reading, crafts, and outings.
- Walk the child to and from school, appointments, and activities, as required.
- Maintain a safe and organized environment, following health and safety standards.
- Assist with homework and school-related tasks as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child’s activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to the child’s care.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Minimum High school completion
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in a caregiving or educational setting is highly preferred.
- Household management preferred.
- Ability to plan and implement engaging and educational activities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to hygiene and safety.
- First Aid and CPR certification required.
- Reliable, responsible, and patient with a passion for working with children.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time, permanent
- Language of Work: English
- Wage: $20 per hour
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Schedule: 6 h per day / Monday to Friday
- Work Location: In-person, at the employer’s private home
