Looking for a Head Chef (full-time) for Squamish Samurai Sushi!

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working Conditions:
- Wage: $37-$38 per hour (Depending on Experience)
- Working hours: 30-40 hours per week
- Working location: 40254 Glenalder Place, Squamish, BC V8B 0G2
Benefits:
- Extend medical and dental after 3 months (full-time worker)

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all kitchen operations.
- Plan and develop menus, including seasonal and specialty items.
- Cook and complete the dishes.
- Estimate food requirements and control food/labour costs.
- Maintain inventory and manage purchasing and ordering.
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Establish and enforce kitchen policies, procedures, and standards.
- Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff.
- Recruit kitchen staff and conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
- Monitor kitchen performance and implement operational improvements.
- Participate in or lead management meetings for planning and marketing.
Requirements:
- Language: English
- Education: Completion of high school
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of cooking experience in commercial kitchen(s).
- Completion of culinary courses/programs is an asset.
- Must be available to work ALL weekends and holidays
