Hours: 30 hours per week
Wage: $18.00 per hour + 4% vacation pay

About the role
Indian Essence Restaurant is seeking a reliable and motivated Food Service Supervisor tooversee daily food service operations, support staff performance, and ensure quality and cus-tomer satisfaction. The successful candidate will lead by example in maintaining safety, clean-liness, and efficient service.

Main duties

· Lead shift operations by assigning stations, balancing workloads, and ensuring smoothcoordination between kitchen and front-counter staff.
· Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency with company re-cipes, portion control, and quality standards.
· Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
· Open and close the restaurant, including cash reconciliation, float preparation, and dailysales reporting.
· Track inventory levels, receive deliveries, and place orders to prevent shortages whileminimizing waste.
· Train new team members on customer service expectations, POS use, food safety, andcleaning procedures.
· Provide hands-on support during peak periods, stepping into food preparation or ser-vice roles as needed.
· Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally to maintain a positive diningexperience.
· Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas, dining spaces, and equipment in accord-ance with health regulations.
· Monitor staff attendance and productivity and report performance issues tomanagement.
· Ensure compliance with workplace safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements.

Education
Completion of secondary school (high school) is required.

Experience
· Previous experience in food preparation or service is required.
· Supervisory experience is an asset.

Skills
· Strong leadership and communication abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Client-focused with strong organizational skills.

Language
English.
