Truck Driver

Location: 2250 Bovaird Drive East, Unit-208, Brampton, Ontario, L6R 0W3.

Work location: On site.

Salary: 36.25 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week.

Terms of employment: Permanent employment. Full time, Shift, Flexible hours.

Starts as soon as possible.

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipmen
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: AZ class license, Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate

Additional information

Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence
