Location: Surrey, BC V3Z 1C4

Wage: $19.00 hourly / 40 hours per week
Terms: Permanent, Full-time

S & G Dhillon Farms is seeking reliable and physically capable Farm Labourers – harvesting for full-time, permanent positions. Work is performed on-site in a fast-paced agricultural environment involving fruit and vegetable combination farming, including organic practices.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will perform general farm labour duties including planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting crops. Responsibilities include hand harvesting vegetables, applying hoeing techniques between rows, grading fruits and vegetables by size, shape, colour, and volume to meet market standards, and separating produce into marketable and non-marketable lots. Additional duties include greenhouse cleaning, weeding, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting overall farm operations to ensure efficient production.

Work Site Environment:
• Fruit and vegetable combination farming

Work Setting:
• Staff accommodation provided

Tasks:
• Apply the technique of hoeing between rows
• Harvest crops and hand pick vegetables
• Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
• Grade produce and sort into marketable and non-marketable lots
• Perform greenhouse cleaning and general farm maintenance
• Weed crops and maintain fields
• Clean and maintain work areas

Experience and Specialization:
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
• Crops: Bell peppers, blueberries, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, garlic, tomatoes, zucchinis, microgreens

Languages:
• English

Education:
• No degree, certificate or diploma required
