Job Title: Concrete Engineer
Terms of Employment: 30-40 hours per week, Full-time/ Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Wage: $50.00 per hour

Job Duties:
• Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements
• Plan and design major civil, construction and/or concrete projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, dams, etc
• Develop construction specifications and procedures
• Ensuring concrete quantity is correct to engineer specifications
• Establish and monitor construction work schedules
• Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects
• Supervise technicians, technologists, team members and other engineers
• Review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates
• Ordering concrete, arrange for concrete testing and follow up with concrete testing.
• Ensure proper elevation is achieved during concrete pouring
• QC inspection of wood forms
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Education: A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline is required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of supervisory, project management or engineering experience in related field is required.
