Position: Computer Application Programmer (NOC 21232)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Work Location: Fort St. John, B.C.

Compensation: $65.00 - $70.00 / hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week, scheduled as per project need. Flexible availability required as work may include some evenings and weekends.
Overview:
Winmate International is seeking a Computer Application Programmer to support the design, development, and ongoing improvement of business applications. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in iteration planning and estimation by reviewing business requirements, breaking down development tasks and estimating work output
- Write, maintain, and optimize application code
- Improve existing code new requirements or to fix technical issues
- Ensure applications run smoothly across different devices
- Perform testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance, to identify and resolve software defects
- Support the evolution of the product through updates, patches, and new features with minimal disruption to business operations
- Assist in the resolution of technical issues
- Maintain and improve system stability, security, and performance by monitoring application behaviour and implementing necessary enhancements or fixes.
- Follow coding standards and basic security practices to protect data and maintain system integrity
- Maintain documentation to support development, testing, deployment, and support
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Experience in application development is an asset
- Familiarity with modern programming languages and development tools
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
