Position name: Carpenter
Location of work: 1115 – 8400 West Road, Richmond, BC, V6X 0S7 and across the Lower Mainland
Nature of position: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)
Wage: $37.00 per hour. A bonus may be paid from time-to-time, at the sole discretion of the employer.
Vacation: 10 days
Language required: English, spoken and written

JOB DUTIES. The following duties will be performed in this position:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, industrial plants and other establishments
- Supervise apprentices and other construction workers, manage schedule
- May prepare cost estimates for clients and ad hoc duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS. The successful applicant will possess, at a minimum, the following skills and experience:
- Completion of secondary school.
- Two (2) years of experience in concrete forms carpentry or relevant experience.
- Safety and flagging certification an asset
- Permit to operate equipment ie. forklift, bobcat etc.
- Experience with concrete pours and rebar installation
