Job description:
Location: Sault Ste. Marie, ON
Job Duties:
- Maintain and support the company’s network systems, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, internet
connectivity, and remote office access, ensuring reliable communication across all departments (solar operations, admin, finance, logistics).
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN gateways; implement security policies and access controls to safeguard company systems and sensitive data.
- Monitor network performance, connectivity, and security logs; identify and resolve connectivity
issues, bottlenecks, or potential risks affecting multiple departments or remote sites.
- Perform routine security audits, system updates, patch management, and access permission reviews to prevent unauthorized access and maintain compliance with company IT policies.
- Provide technical support for staff and management, including troubleshooting network, VPN,
remote access, and security-related issues to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including IP address assignments, device
inventory, firewall rules, configuration changes, and network diagrams to support administration and audits.
- Coordinate regular data backups, recovery procedures, and basic disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity in case of system or network failure.
Educaton: College Diploma in the field is required
Experience: 3 or more years of experience is required
Payrate: $30/hour
