Moonrise Construction Ltd. located in Abbotsford, BC is delivering high quality residential and commercial services for all kinds of new construction and renovations in Lower Mainland since 2008.  The company is currently looking for 2 full-time Drywall Installers for their growing team.

Position: Drywall Installer

Number of positions: 2

Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $37.00 per hour  

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work location(s): Various job locations in Abbotsford (BC) and other areas in Lower Mainland (BC) as per the company’s contracts with its clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
• Install drywall sheets and secure them to wooden or metal studs.
• Organize and carry out work procedures for installation and removal.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
• Tape the joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound.
• Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry before applying additional layers.
• Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Follow all occupational health and safety procedures on the work site.

Position Requirements

• Completion of secondary school required.
• Completion of an Apprenticeship program in the trade or a Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar trade is required.
• Effective communication skills.
