We are seeking experienced and reliable Roofers to join our growing team, where roofing plays a critical role in our operations. We rely on Roofers to support the accurate installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems across residential and commercial projects. This includes asphalt, metal, and flat roofing installations, as well as inspections and repairs. This role requires strong hands-on roofing skills, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and precision in measurements. Work is performed on both active construction sites and in shop-based prefabrication environments, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and delivering high-quality workmanship in alignment with project timelines. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their craft, demonstrate reliability, and contribute to maintaining consistent standards within our operations.

Position Description

Position: Roofer

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

Compensation & Benefits

Wage: $36.60 per hour

Stable & full-time employment.

Work-life balance through flexible and accommodating work environment.

Referral Bonus: $1000.00 CAD (for current employees).

Relocation Assistance: $1500.00 CAD (for qualified candidates coming from different cities, provinces, or regions)

Job Responsibilities

• Install, repair, or replace various roofing systems, including built-up roofing systems, utilizing waterproof sheet materials.
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or masonry surfaces for enhanced protection.
• Implement vapor barriers and insulation layers to ensure optimal roofing performance.
• Adhere to specifications by applying layers of hot asphalt or tar and roofing paper to roofs
• Erect scaffolding and implement safety measures to facilitate safe access to roofs.
• Apply top coatings for a seamless finish or embed gravel in modified bitumen for textured surfaces.
• Perform installation, repair, or replacement of shingles, shakes, and other roofing materials on sloped roofs of structures.
• Conduct inspections to assess the condition of roofs and identify any issues or areas in need of repair.
• Operate and maintain equipment and tools used in roofing activities, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Communicate effectively with clients or project managers to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or questions.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
• Perform additional assigned duties to contribute to overall team productivity.

Qualification & Requirements

• Completion of secondary school.
• Completion of 2-3-year apprenticeship program or minimum 3 years of experience.
• Trade certification would be an asset but not mandatory.
• Communication and teamwork skills including an openness to receive feedback from supervisors and manager.
• Ability to work long hours and early mornings as required.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a reliable and professional work ethic.
