Job description:

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Job Duties:
- Inspect electrical and mechanical equipment to identify performance issues and ensure proper operation
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and other electro-mechanical systems
- Conduct testing on repaired equipment to confirm efficiency, safety, and reliable performance
- Repair or replace defective wiring, electrical components, and switchgear parts as required
- Perform on-site maintenance and servicing for electrical and mechanical equipment
- Rebuild or refurbish components such as bearings, shafts, and commutators to restore functionality
- Assemble, wind, and install different types of electrical coils and related components
- Carry out balancing procedures on armatures and rotors to maintain proper operation and reduce vibration
- Use machining techniques to modify or restore shafts, commutators, and other equipment parts when needed
