Steel Detailer - Drafting
Employer: Pro Draft Inc.

Salary: $37.50 hourly

Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

Job Duties:
- Prepare detailed structural steel shop drawings, erection drawings, connection details, and fabrication packages using Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and related drafting software.
- Analyze architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications to develop accurate steel detailing documentation for fabrication and construction purposes.
- Produce 3D models and detailed layouts for beams, columns, stair systems, railings, and miscellaneous steel components.
- Generate bills of materials, anchor bolt plans, and material take-offs to support fabrication and procurement processes.
- Coordinate with engineers, fabricators, project managers, and construction personnel to resolve drafting conflicts and technical issues.
- Revise and update drawings based on engineering changes, RFIs, site measurements, and client feedback.
- Verify drawing accuracy and compliance with project specifications, building codes, industry standards, and fabrication requirements.
- Maintain organized project documentation, revision records, and electronic drafting files.
- Assist in improving drafting workflows, detailing efficiency, and quality control procedures within the organization.
- Support communication between office drafting teams, fabrication facilities, and field installation crews to ensure accurate project execution.
