Title of position: Live-in personal support worker – Priscilla W. and Aaron W.

 

The candidate is to care for a disabled person.

 

The candidate is to care for a disabled paraplegic person who requires assistance with personal care, mobility, repositioning, and transfers (weight to handle is 50+ kg).

 

Duties:

  • Administer medications
  • Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assist in regular exercise, e.g., stretching
  • Change non-sterile dressings
  • Assist with safe transferring, repositioning, and mobility support for the paraplegic person in need of care, who weighs over 50 kg
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Mend clothing and linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Provide companionship
  • Provide personal care
  • Perform other duties related to personal care

 

Terms of employment: min of 40 hours/week, permanent, full-time, early mornings, evenings, shift, flexible hours, nights, weekends

 

Wages: $ 21.07 per hour

Education required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate /Completion of high school, or equivalent

Work experience required: 1 year to less than 2 years of caregiving experience

Language required to do the work: English

 

Criminal record check is required

CPR Certification is required

 

Other conditions: Live-in is required; staff accommodation provided at no charge on a live-in basis

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
