About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to lead and support our growing sales operations in the Nelson, BC region. As our company continues to expand its presence in the area, we are looking for a results-oriented professional who can effectively manage sales activities, support our sales team, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure smooth inventory and order fulfillment processes.

Candidates must be able to live and work in Nelson, BC or the surrounding area. Relocation may be required for applicants currently residing elsewhere. Any relocation, housing, or rental expenses will be the responsibility of the successful candidate. The compensation offered for this position is designed to support professionals considering relocation to the region.

Wage: $65.00- $70.00/hour

Education:
Completion of Post Secondary.

Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or related roles

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily sales operations within the Nelson territory to achieve company sales goals and growth targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market presence, attract new customers, and strengthen existing client relationships.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, guidance, and performance management to the sales team.
  • Coordinate with sales representatives to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
  • Collect monthly sales forecasts and product demand information from all sales representatives and use this information to plan inventory requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels throughout the sales network, including inventory maintained by sales representatives and stock stored at company storage locations.
  • Ensure adequate inventory is available to meet customer demand while minimizing shortages and overstock situations.
  • Analyze market conditions, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and improve sales performance.
  • Establish sales targets, performance expectations, and pricing recommendations in accordance with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners, and key accounts to support long-term business growth.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries for management review.
  • Work closely with operations and other internal teams to ensure sales activities align with overall business objectives.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve service-related issues in a professional and timely manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in contract discussions and support the negotiation and completion of significant sales agreements.
  • Continuously evaluate sales processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and customer service.
