Sea to Sky Courier and Freight Ltd. located at 1010 Industrial Way Squamish, British Columbia V8B 0G9 is looking for 1 full-time permanent Long haul truck driver to join their team in Squamish, BC as soon as possible

Job Details:

Salary: $37.00 per hour

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent employment (30-40 hours / week)

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Vacancies: 1

Employment Conditions: Early Morning, Morning, Weekend, Overtime availabe

Job Requirements:

Language: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: Experience an asset

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

Tasks:

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Transport and handle dangerous goods

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: 

Air Brakes Endorsement

Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
