Steel Detailer - Drafting
Employer: Pro Draft Inc.
Work Location: 12332 Pattullo Place, Surrey, BC V3V 8C3
Salary: $37.50 hourly
Terms of employment: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Language: English
Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience
Education: Completion of Secondary
Start date: As soon as possible

Job Duties:

- Prepare steel shop drawings and detailed fabrication drawings using computer software such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, etc.
- Read and understand structural and architectural drawings provided by engineers and clients.
- Create computer-assisted design models and detailed layouts for structural steel projects.
- Prepare material lists, dimensions, and connection details for fabrication and installation.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabricators, and site teams to ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
- Update and revise drawings based on project changes and engineer comments.
- Check drawings for accuracy, measurements, and compliance with project specifications.
- Assist fabrication and installation teams by providing technical drawing support when needed.
- Maintain organized project files, drawing revisions, and related documents.
- Ensure all work is completed according to company standards, safety requirements, and project deadlines.
