Through its telecommunications infrastructure, information technology, fiber optic deployment, construction, and technical service divisions, the company serves residential, commercial, institutional, and government clients. As the organization continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership and support long-term growth, operational excellence, and corporate governance initiatives.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will provide strategic leadership for all financial operations of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, corporate governance, budgeting, risk management, financial reporting, and supporting executive decision-making across all business divisions.

This role requires a highly analytical and results-driven professional capable of managing the financial complexities of a multi-service organization operating in the telecommunications, information technology, infrastructure, and project-based service sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all financial operations of the organization.
  • Develop and implement corporate financial strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Direct budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management activities.
  • Provide executive-level financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor organizational performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Oversee accounting, payroll, taxation, banking, financing, insurance, and regulatory compliance functions.
  • Manage financial planning for multi-provincial operations, municipal projects, and diverse service divisions.
  • Evaluate business opportunities, capital investments, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, auditors, legal advisors, government agencies, and key stakeholders.
  • Support operational leaders in project costing, resource allocation, financial performance monitoring, and risk management.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead finance and administrative personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, corporate finance, executive leadership, or a senior management role.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and strategic planning.
  • Experience overseeing financial operations within a complex, multi-division organization.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of business operations, financial controls, risk management, and corporate governance principles.
  • Experience within telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, construction, engineering, or project-based industries is considered an asset.
  • Professional accounting or finance designations are considered assets but are not mandatory.

Work Environment:
This is an on-site executive leadership position based at E-NET Solutions Inc.'s corporate head office in Surrey, British Columbia. The Chief Financial Officer will work closely with senior management and operational leaders supporting the company's telecommunications, information technology, infrastructure, and related business operations throughout British Columbia and Alberta. Occasional travel within Canada may be required to support business operations, strategic initiatives, and stakeholder meetings.
