Front Counter Sales Representative
We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Front Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this key role, you will work directly with HVAC contractors, technicians, and other industry professionals, helping them identify and obtain the products, parts, and equipment they need. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to customers at the sales counter.
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the appropriate products, parts, and equipment for their needs.
- Offer accurate information regarding product specifications, compatibility, pricing, and availability.
- Process sales transactions and customer orders accurately using point-of-sale (POS) and inventory management systems.
- Handle payments, including cash, credit card transactions, and account charges, while maintaining accurate records.
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email regarding product availability, pricing, order status, and general information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales counter and showroom area.
- Resolve customer concerns, returns, and warranty issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Work closely with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient order fulfillment.
- Support daily administrative and operational activities as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in a counter sales, customer service, or sales support role is preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with contractors and industry professionals.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including POS software, inventory management platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and handling transactions.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of HVAC products, equipment, and common industry brands is considered an asset.
