Required Computer and technology knowledge

  • Bloomberg Terminal / BLPAPI — production-level; tick data subscriptions, real-time feed handling, historical data retrieval via API. UI familiarity alone will disqualify
  • Go — go routine concurrency, channel-based architecture, proof profiling, high-throughput service design in production financial context
  • Haskell — GHC, STM, monadic composition, Conduit or Pipes streaming, Aeson, Quick Check; shipped production code required
  • Go ecosystem: gRPC, protocol buffers, Go modules, net/sync/context standard library depth
  • Haskell ecosystem: Cabal/Stack, servant or warp, property-based testing
  • TIBCO — event-driven messaging and market data distribution
  • Endur (ION / Open Link) CTRM — production experience with Open Components API development and JVS scripting; trade capture, operations services, simulation result types, Task Manager batch jobs
  • Endur data model — working literacy in abtran, abtran event, party and portfolio structures; building extracts, diagnosing interface failures, reconciling positions against downstream systems
  • Commodities trading domain — physical and financial products (crude and refined, natural gas, power, or metals) and instruments traded against them: futures, swaps, options, spreads, physical cargoes
  • Trade lifecycle — capture through confirmation, scheduling and actualization, settlement and P&L; position versus exposure, mark-to-market, EOD and month-end processing
  • Regulatory reporting awareness — EMIR, REMIT, Dodd-Frank as they apply to commodity derivatives
  • Linux / Unix — primary operating environment; no GUI dependency
  • TCP/IP networking fundamentals in latency-sensitive contexts
  • Git / GitHub — version control and secure development workflows
