Wage Rate: $ 37.00 hourly

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

No. of Hours: 35 hours per week

Minimum Education: High School Graduation Certificate

Location of Work: Surrey, BC and the surrounding area on the client's sites across the Lower Mainland, Vancouver, BC

Experience: 7 Months to less than 1 Year

On site

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

Review construction drawings and plans to understand project requirements, measurements, and material needs before starting work.
Set out the structure layout according to approved plans and ensure all measurements comply with applicable building codes and standards.
Accurately measure materials and cut, shape, and assemble wood, wood substitutes, light-gauge steel, and other building materials to complete framing and structural work.
Construct structural components, including foundations, floor systems, subfloors, wall framing, and roof frameworks.
Install finishing components such as doors, stair systems, trim, mouldings, and related hardware to complete the project.
Carry out repairs, maintenance, and renovation work on residential and commercial buildings, as well as other wood-based structures, in various work environments.
Supervise other workers
When required, prepare basic material take-offs and cost estimates for clients based on project scope and specifications.
