Truck Driver

Vacancy: 1

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ARE LISTED BELOW:

  • Be able to load and unload goods and shipments,
  • Drive trucks to transport goods and materials to clients safely,
  • Maintain optimal condition of vehicle by regularly inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
  • Perform routine inspections of the truck and submit report for any maintenance that might be required
  • Perform brake adjustments,
  • Must be able to do routine emergency roadside repairs,
  • Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspection
  • Manage all aspects of vehicle,
  • Complete preventative maintenance,
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch,
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption,
  • Tarping and confirming safety and security of cargo

Key Requirements:

 

Education:                                                       Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

 

Work Experience:                                           7 months to less than 1 year  

Credentials:                                                      AZ class license, Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Language:                                                            English

Transportation/Travel Experience:        Regional; National; Local; International; Provincial/territorial; Short haul; Long-haul

Work Conditions & Physical Capabilities:  Repetitive tasks; Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding.  Attention to detail; Sitting; Large workload; Overtime required.
