Job Title: Steel Stud Framer- carpentry

Employer: Pro2 construction management

Salary:  $ 38.50/ hour / 35 - 40 hours per week

Job requirements: 

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Experience an Asset

Specific Skills: 

  • Analyze architectural blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine precise project specifications and calculate steel material requirements.
  • Prepare accurate site layouts using advanced measuring tools, ensuring strict compliance with local building codes and structural plans.
  •  Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and secure lightweight steel studs, tracks, and related metal framing components to exact tolerances.
  •  Construct and erect foundational steel framing systems, including load-bearing walls, non-load-bearing walls, bulkheads, and roof systems.
  • Fit and install essential structural backing, framing hardware, and trim items (such as doors and stairs) within metal-framed structures.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate steel structures across diverse environments, including residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.
  • Supervise, mentor, and direct apprentices and construction crews to ensure high-quality workmanship, project efficiency, and site safety.
  • Prepare detailed labor and material cost estimates to support client consultations, project bidding, and budget management.

Additional Information:

The project requires individuals who can think ahead, coordinate with multiple trades, maintain layout accuracy, and work through complex field conditions with minimal direction.
