Job Description:
- Order and purchase furniture merchandise in accordance with customer demand and quality standards.
- Identify and select products based on the business operation requirements and customer needs.
- Research and analyze market and product trends to determine the appropriate quantities and product types to purchase.
- Attend furniture exhibitions and supplier showrooms to stay updated on market trends.
- Collaborate with furniture suppliers and distributors to negotiate pricing, product selections, quantities, and delivery schedules.
- Arrange and oversee transportation and shipping arrangements to ensure efficient product delivery.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth business operations & efficient inventory replenishment.
- Keeping a regular check on inventory to ensure that the store is furnished with sufficient supplies at all times.
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in the related field is required.
• Minimum six months to one year of work experience in the retail industry is required.
