We are currently hiring a Plumber Helper to assist plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems and related mechanical components. The ideal candidate will be reliable, physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced work environment.

Position Description

 

Position: Plumber Helper                                                                                                                             

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

No of positions: 1

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various job sites throughout the Lower Mainland (BC) as per company’s contracts

 

Compensation & Benefits

 

Salary: $ 25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Overtime pay and vacation pay in accordance with applicable employment standards

Stable, permanent, full-time employment

Transportation to assigned work sites, where required

Flexible and accommodating work arrangements that promote work-life balance

Relocation assistance of up to $1,000 for qualified candidates

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Assist plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
  • Carry materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Help locate and mark positions for pipe connections, fixtures, and openings in walls and floors.
  • Prepare work areas by setting up equipment, protecting surfaces, and cleaning job sites.
  • Support testing of plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation using air and water pressure equipment.
  • Assist in diagnosing basic plumbing issues such as clogged drains or leaking fixtures.
  • Follow instructions from plumbers and supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Observe and comply with workplace safety procedures, job-site rules, and company policies.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to support daily work activities.
  • Perform other related plumbing helper duties, as assigned, to support timely completion of projects.

 

Qualification & Requirements

 

  • Previous experience in plumbing, construction, or related trade is an asset; however, training will be provided to suitable candidate with no prior experience.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Good communication skills to follow instructions and coordinate with team members.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and carry out assigned tasks under supervision.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions, as required by job sites and project schedules.
