Job description

• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
• perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
• Inspect buildings and facilities regularly to identify maintenance, repair, and safety issues.
• Perform minor repairs to walls, ceilings, doors, windows, floors, and other building components.
• Repair or replace damaged door locks, hinges, handles, fixtures, and other hardware.
• Carry out basic plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaking faucets, toilets, pipes, and drains.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, switches, and electrical fixtures where permitted.
• Patch and repair drywall, plaster, and other wall surfaces.
• Paint and touch up interior and exterior surfaces as required.
• Assemble, install, and repair furniture, shelving, cabinets, and other fixtures.
• Maintain building grounds, including basic landscaping, snow removal, and debris removal where applicable.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools, equipment, and building systems.
• Assist qualified electricians, plumbers, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other tradespeople with maintenance projects.
• Maintain common areas, storage areas, mechanical rooms, and other facility spaces in a clean and orderly condition.
