Salary:                                             $20.00/hr

Hours:                                              35-40/wk 
Overtime:                                       $30.00/hr (As per BC Standards – for over 8 hrs/day; 40 hrs/wk)

Education:                                       Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:                                    7 months to less than 1 year

Language of work:                         English

Age of Kids:                                     8 Years

             
Job Duties and Requirements:

• Supervise and care for the children in the employer’s residence during the parents’ absence.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks for the children according to the parents’ instructions and established household routines.
• Maintain the children’s daily routine, including appropriate times for meals, homework, rest, play and other scheduled activities.
• Assist the children with homework and organize age appropriate educational, recreational, indoor and outdoor activities.
• Provide appropriate supervision, guidance and support during the children’s daily activities and interactions.
• Ensure the children’s safety and well being while under the caregiver’s supervision.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for the children and perform light housekeeping related to their care, including laundry, dishes and tidying their play, study and activity areas.
