Job description
We are seeking a Home Support Worker to assist an elderly person with personal care and daily activities in a private household. Responsibilities include:
- Assist with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and toileting
- Support mobility, including safe transfers and walking assistance
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if required
- Provide medication reminders and support as directed
- Provide companionship and supervise daily routines
- Light housekeeping related to the client (laundry, cleaning the client’s area)
- Observe and report changes in health or behavior to the family
- Accompany the client to appointments as needed
Requirements
- Secondary school completion or relevant experience
- Experience with elderly care is preferred
- Ability to communicate in English is required and Mandarin is preferred
- Reliable, patient, and physically capable for caregiving duties
