Job description

Head Chef Opportunity | Kin Kao Investment Group Inc. o/a Kin Kao Song

About Us:
Kin Kao is the heart of Thai cuisine on Commercial Drive. Born from over a decade of kitchen camaraderie, late-night staff meals, shared travels across Thailand, and endless experimentation, we are a love letter to Thai food in all its depth, intensity, and heart. Song is the next chapter in our story — an evolution of Kin Kao. Born from that same kitchen family, Song is where we push Thai food further. We are proud to have been recognized with the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand award in 2022, 2023, and 2024 — a testament to our commitment to quality, creativity, and value. We serve unapologetically authentic Thai cuisine — spicy, vibrant, and full of character — anchored by fresh daily seafood and bold seasonal ingredients. Our food is thoughtfully paired with a rotating selection of natural wines sourced from British Columbia and far beyond — from the hills of Italy to the cellars of Slovakia. We also offer a curated list of local craft beer, cider, and one-of-a-kind cocktails crafted in-house. Our space, designed by acclaimed local firm Scott & Scott Architects, is warm, intimate, and alive. As night falls, the room dims to shift the spotlight onto what matters most — the food, the people, and the moment.
