Salary/Wages: $39.00 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 -40 Hours per week
Terms: Full time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Education: Secondary School certificate
Experience: 2 year to less than 3 years
Language: English
Job Duties
- Check the roof and work area before starting the job and determine the materials needed.
- Measure roof areas and prepare surfaces for roofing work.
- Remove old, damaged or worn roofing materials when required.
- Measure, cut and fit shingles, roofing sheets and other materials according to the roof size and shape.
- Install shingles, tiles and other roofing materials and make sure they are properly secured.
- Find the source of roof leaks or damage and complete the necessary repairs.
- Replace damaged sections of roofing and make sure the repaired area is properly sealed.
- Install and repair metal roofing using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Move roofing materials, tools and equipment safely around the job site.
- Check completed roofing work to make sure it is properly installed and finished.
- Keep the roof and surrounding work area clean and remove construction debris.
- Follow site safety procedures and use fall-protection and other required safety equipment when working at heights.
