We are currently seeking 10 caring, reliable, and dedicated Home Support Workers to join our growing team.
The successful candidates will assist clients in maintaining their independence, comfort, dignity, and quality of life while receiving care in their homes or other approved residential settings.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Home Support Workers may be responsible for:
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living.
- Assisting with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Assisting clients with mobility, positioning, and transfers where required and where properly trained.
- Helping clients with meal planning and preparation.
- Serving meals and assisting with feeding when required.
- Performing light housekeeping duties related to the client's care and living environment.
- Washing laundry, changing bed linens, and helping maintain a clean and safe home environment.
- Assisting clients with grocery shopping and other essential errands, when required.
- Accompanying clients to appointments and community activities where required.
- Providing reminders regarding medications according to the client's care plan and company policies.
- Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition, behaviour, or care needs to the appropriate supervisor.
- Following individualized client care plans.
- Maintaining accurate records and completing required care documentation.
- Following infection prevention, health, safety, confidentiality, and workplace policies.
- Promoting the client's independence, dignity, privacy, comfort, and well-being at all times.
- Communicating respectfully with clients, family members, supervisors, and other members of the care team.
- Performing other reasonable duties related to home support and client care as assigned.

- Be physically capable of performing the regular duties of a Home Support Worker.
- Have relevant education, training, certification, or previous caregiving/home support experience where required or preferred.
Relevant experience working with seniors, persons with disabilities, individuals recovering from illness, or other clients requiring home support will be considered an asset.
Compensation
Regular Wage: CAD $20.00 per hour
Regular Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
Overtime: Eligible overtime hours will be compensated at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate, in accordance with applicable employment standards.
At the stated regular wage, the overtime rate would be: CAD $30.00 per hour

Work Environment
Home Support Workers may provide services in clients' private residences or other approved care settings.

Work schedules may include:
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekend shifts
- Statutory holidays
- Other shifts based on client care requirements
