Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Job Duties:
- Assist physicians and healthcare professionals in assessing patients and developing appropriate treatment plans.
- Plan and implement physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs under the supervision of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, using appropriate exercises, therapeutic techniques, and equipment.
- Guide and supervise patients through prescribed exercises and position them correctly for therapeutic or chiropractic treatments.
- Conduct hearing assessments using specialized equipment, explain testing procedures, record results, and ensure diagnostic equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
- Assess clients with hearing loss, recommend suitable hearing instruments, take earmold impressions, fit and adjust hearing aids, and perform follow-up evaluations.
- Obtain patients' medical and ophthalmic histories and prepare educational materials to support patient care and treatment.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, progress reports, and process health insurance or workers' compensation claims as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment by cleaning treatment areas and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.
