Position:   Financial Accountant

Work start date: As soon as possible

Job location:  2711 Alamein Ave Vancouver, British Columbia V6L 1S1

Wage rate: $38.50 per hour, 32 to 40 hours per week.

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience.

Language: Good knowledge of English

Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time.

Job Duties:

• Manage balance sheets, profit and loss statements, ledgers and financial accounts.
• Establish and maintain accounting systems, procedures and internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, reports and management financial information.
• Review and reconcile financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze accounts, identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions and control improvements.
• Assist with financial audits and prepare required supporting documentation.
• Provide financial, business and tax-related information to support management decisions.
• Oversee payroll administration and supervise accounting staff.
• Ensure financial reporting complies with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
