Hog Farm Worker

Job description

Zantingh Direct Inc. requires a full time permanent hog farm worker to assist in our daily operations.  As a Hog Farm Worker, the successful applicant's duties will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

Weighing hogs in and out of barns facilities;

Unloading and loading hogs to and from semi-trucks;

Tending to pigs, cleaning pens and barn yards;

Operation and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment;

Following food safety and bio-security procedures

In seeking the most qualified indiviuals for the role, the sucessful applicant will possess the following job requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required;

Relevant education related to farming or livestock;

Previous work experience in hog and sow farming is an asset

Willingness to work in and outdoor and in a barn environment;

Willingness to work in a noisy, dusty environment;

The position requires oral communicaiton of the English language as well as reading English text and numeracy 

The successful applicant will be compensated at $22.17 per hour, plus health benefits after 6 months.
