Job Brief:
Whatcom Sandwiches Ltd DBA Subway is looking for an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Assistant Manager with good leadership skills to join its team at the earliest, responsible for managing a staff within a business. Coordinates the shipping of goods, sets up displays and assist customers and staff during business hours.
Job Duties:
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the facility
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Recruit staff and oversee staff training
- Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
- Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
- Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering
Requirements:
- Language: English is a requirement
- Education: Secondary School
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience within the food sector or previous experience as a food service supervisor will be considered
Core skills:
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Have financial skills to create budgets, enter data into spreadsheets, use financial software and analyze expense reports
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be attentive and detail-oriented
