Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
Job Duties:
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, personal hygine, dressing, meal assistance and hydration support..
- Provide care that respects residents' dignity, privacy, and independence.
- Observe, document, and report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.
- Support residents in a home-style assisted living setting.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to resident care.
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup as required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with resident and families.
- Encourage social interaction and engagemnent in recreational activities.
- Follow all care policies, plans and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and supportive environment.
- Follow proper body mechanics and afe lifting techniques.
- Work collaboratively, communicate effectively during shift changes and team meetings.
- Participate in required training and ongoing education.
