A&J Majha Walls & Ceiling Ltd. is looking for One Carpenter for their growing business, who could join immediately.

Below are details:

Work location: Various locations in Vancouver Island

Office: 345 Cordan street Nanaimo, British Columbia V9R 0E3
Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible
Compensation: $39.00 per hour
Work hours: 32 hours/week
Terms: Permanent full-time

Language of work: English

Job duties and responsibilities

Measure and cut materials such as wood, drywall, and composite materials using saws, drills, and other equipment into the required sizes and shapes for construction.
Read and accurately understand a construction project's architectural blueprints and plans.
Restore and renovate older homes and make structural improvements to the buildings.
Construct the core framework of buildings, including erecting walls, floors and roof structures by assembling and securing wood or metal studs and beams.
Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware.
Strictly follow all WorkSafe BC protocols and use personal protective equipment.
Ensure all the equipment is in good working condition by maintaining and cleaning the tools.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure efficient and timely project completion

Requirements:

• Education: Completion of Secondary School
• Work Experience:1-2 years of Experience
