Wages: $38.50/hr for 40 hours per week
Job Type: Full-Time, year-round work
Work Location: Surrey, BC and across the Lower-Mainland region.
Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible
Job Description for the position of Framer-Carpenter at Skyrise Framing and Forming Ltd. is as:
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures commercial establishments.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Skills and Experience requirement:
- Completion of Secondary Education is required.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Ability to stand for longer periods and the work is physically demanding.
- Ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions is required.
