Location: 868 Orono Avenue suite 305, Victoria, British Columbia V9B 0X9

Job title: Concrete Finisher (NOC 73100)

Salary: $38.40 per hour (30-40 hours per week), 4% vacation pay

Position: Permanent and full-time

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Language: English

Start date: As soon as possible

Employment Conditions: Day, Evening, Morning

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Strategically place concrete into formwork or directly onto designated surfaces, ensuring alignment with specified grades and elevations
• Correct surface imperfections by filling voids and eliminating blemishes on newly placed concrete
• Utilize power vibrators to consolidate concrete and eliminate air pockets for optimal density
• Screed and level concrete surfaces to precise grade and depth specifications
• Apply desired surface finishes using a combination of hand tools and powered equipment
• Position and secure anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other embedded fixtures into concrete
• Apply hardening and sealing agents to facilitate proper curing and surface protection
• Execute waterproofing, damp-proofing, and restorative treatments on concrete surfaces
• Conduct repair, resurfacing, and replacement of deteriorated or damaged concrete structures
