Position Summary

We are seeking experienced and motivated Cleaning Service Managers to manage operations within the company’s service areas. Each manager will be responsible for an assigned area, which may include commercial and industrial cleaning, post-construction cleaning, office cleaning, or recreational facility cleaning. The specific service area will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, strengths, and the company’s operational needs. The preferred area and role responsibilities may also be discussed during the interview. The successful candidates will oversee the operations of their assigned service area, including supervising and scheduling cleaning staff, maintaining service and quality standards, managing supplies and equipment, and addressing client or operational concerns. They will help ensure that services meet client requirements, company procedures are followed, and workplace health and safety standards are maintained. This is a hands-on leadership role for individuals with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Compensation & Benefits

Wage: $61,000-$64,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Responsibilities

The Cleaning Service Manager will manage an assigned service area within company, such as commercial and industrial cleaning, post construction cleaning, office cleaning, or recreational facility cleaning. Duties will include:

• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations for the assigned service area, ensuring cleaning services meet client scopes of work, service schedules, and service level agreements.
• Meet with prospective corporate clients to assess their facilities, discuss cleaning requirements, and identify the required service frequency, staffing, equipment, and supplies.
• Prepare or coordinate service proposals, quotations, and cleaning plans for prospective client accounts, in consultation with company management.
• Manage assigned corporate client accounts, conduct service reviews, respond to concerns, coordinate corrective work, and maintain positive, long-term client relationships.
• Develop site-specific cleaning plans and work procedures for services such as janitorial maintenance, washroom sanitation, floor care, waste handling, high-touch surface cleaning, and post-construction cleaning, according to each client’s requirements.
• Establish and implement policies, procedures, and quality-control standards for staff working in the assigned service area.
• Hire, train, schedule, assign, and supervise cleaning staff, including instruction on site-specific procedures, equipment operation, cleaning-product use, and workplace safety.
• Inspect client sites and completed work, document deficiencies, and arrange corrective action to maintain cleanliness, quality, and safety standards.
• Plan and monitor the service area’s operating budget, including labour, equipment, cleaning chemicals, consumables, and other operating costs.
• Monitor inventory levels for cleaning products, tools, machinery, and personal protective equipment, and arrange replenishment or maintenance as required.
• Manage approved advertising and marketing contracts or strategies for the assigned service area, in coordination with company management.
• Address operational issues involving staffing, service schedules, client requirements, equipment, and quality, and escalate matters requiring management approval.
• Maintain records of client accounts, proposals, service agreements, staffing, schedules, inspections, inventory, budgets, and corrective actions.
• Report on service performance, client feedback, new business opportunities, and operational requirements for company management.
• Perform other related duties that support the company’s operations, service delivery, and workplace health and safety.

Qualification & Requirements

• Two to three years of relevant experience in the cleaning or janitorial services industry, preferably in commercial, industrial, post-construction, office, or recreational facility cleaning.
• Previous experience supervising staff or coordinating cleaning operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide staff and communicate professionally with clients.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to schedule staff, coordinate assignments, and manage competing operational priorities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with employees, clients, and company management.
• Practical knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, products, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ability to monitor service quality, address operational concerns, and maintain accurate records.
• Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to work.
• Willingness to manage an assigned service area based on relevant experience, strengths, and the company’s operational needs.

Selection Process

Candidates may also be asked to respond to job-related scenarios, such as a client complaint, missed cleaning standards, an unexpected staff absence, or a supply shortage.
