General Manager - Financial, Communications And Other Business Services
Roles and Responsibilties:
- Provide leadership and general management of the Shadko sales and operations teams while also maintaining and growing key relationships with strategic customers and vendors.
- Proactively identify new opportunities and expand our share of customer’s logistics spend, through up and cross-selling with a strong pipeline and closing ratio.
- Lead an inside and outside sales team and a site operations manager, and work very closely with a finance partner to oversee all aspects of the facility such as safety, sales, logistics, community volunteer activity, etc.
- Accountable for the successful implementation of all internal programs.
- Oversee (via the site operations manager) safety, logistics, fulfillment, planning, scheduling, and asset management.
- Reviewing financial statements and budgets to determine whether the company is operating efficiently and generating a profit
- Setting goals for the company in terms of sales volume, product quality, customer satisfaction, employee retention rates, and other measures of success
- Hiring of the employees depending on business needs, implementing policies and procedures, and conducting performance reviews
- Establishing and enforcing rules and regulations for employees based on industry standards and legal requirements
- Evaluating the performance of employees and making decisions about hiring, firing, promotions, and pay raises
- Planning and organizing department activities, such as setting budgets, hiring staff, ordering supplies, developing marketing campaigns, and managing inventory levels
- Develop knowledge of best practices and new ideas within product, operations and relevant industry verticals, and tailor these into solutions for the customer
- Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
Computer Applications Knowledge: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Office, MS Windows
Compensation & Hours:
Salary and working hours: CAD $64.00 per hour with minimum 30 hours per week
Overtime Rate: $96.00 per hour starting after 44 hours per week
Holiday pay: 4% of gross pay
