JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:

  • Attend to customers’ reservations and organize seating plans
  • Greet customers and escort them to their seating areas
  • Be attentive to customers’ satisfaction and potential complaints related to the food and service
  • Oversee dining and serving areas and their related equipment
  • Coordinate the duties of the serving staff
  • Manage transactions from customers for their orders, and manage the related records and statements
  • Involved in training and onboarding front-of-the-house staff
  • Promote specials, discounts and other promotional offers to incoming guests
  • Provide any other front-of-the-house support as needed during busy periods including running food, setting/clearing tables, serving drinks, attending to customer requests etc.
  • Other related duties as required

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent, Full-time, Long-term.


HOURS OF WORK:
40 hours per week

 

WAGES:  $17.25 per hour

 

OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations.

 

BENEFITS PACKAGE:

 

  • Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer.
  • Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis.

 

LOCATION OF WORK: 101 Main Street, Vancouver, BC V6K 2S5 Canada

 

ANTICIPATED START DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: As soon as possible.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of Secondary school is required.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Related experience is an asset
  • On-the-job training will be provided.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Work under pressure.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Sometimes work in a noisy and distracting environment.

  • Client focus and dependability.
  • Must be a team player, flexible, reliable and organized.
  • Must be available for all hours of operation, including overtime and weekend work as required.
