Position Details:

Position: Painter

Number of positions: 3

Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: $26.50 per hour

Vacation Pay: 4% of gross salary

Work Location: Various locations in Surrey (BC) and/or other areas of Lower Mainland (BC) as per company’s contracts with its clients.

Job Duties:

• Read instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of paint work and material necessary.
• Prepare and clean surfaces by scraping, sanding, remove old wallpaper and loose paint; repair cracks and holes in walls; and sandpaper and apply sealer.
• Mix paint to desired color and texture.
• Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders as necessary in a manner consistent with safety codes.
• Advise customers on colors schemes and choice of wall coverings if required.
• Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of high School
• Completion of apprenticeship program or Minimum 3 years of work experience in the trade
• Candidate should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, and all-weather conditions.
