Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Will train

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: AZ class license
Type of trucking and equipment: Refrigerated, Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles), Tractor-trailer
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone, Steel-toed safety boots
Transportation/travel experience: International, Local, Long-haul, National, Provincial/territorial, Regional, Short-haul
Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trans-border documentation, Trip reports

Tasks

• Address customers' complaints or concerns, Professionalism in customer service,
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy,
• Load and unload goods,
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials,
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment,
• Pay and receive payments for goods,
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle,
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch,
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption,
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Security and safety
Valid passport, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver's validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test, Medical exam

Transportation/travel information
Valid driver's licence, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel internationally, Willing to travel overnight
