We are currently searching for two (2) Log Processor Operators to join our logging operations team. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and safety conscious with a focus on quality and production. Successful candidate will be able to pass drug testing.
Duties:
- Assess site and terrain and drive processor to perform a combination of delimbing trees, cutting to length and sorting logs according to mill log quality specifications
- Operate a processor to perform a combination of delimbing, cutting to length, and sorting logs or trees often in mountainous terrain
- Assist other logging and forestry workers
- Clean up landing areas at logging sites
- Write daily basic progress reports
- Perform daily routine machine maintenance
Additional information
- There is some mobility among jobs in this group from the less complex to more complex machinery operation.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on the equipment.
Requirements:
- A minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Log Processor Operator in a high volume and demanding environment
- Knowledge of tree harvesting regulations is required.
- Experience working in steep slope conditions an asset
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Must be able to work in a camp environment with flexibility in shift work
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel and work in an outdoor environment in remote locations
- Able to work cooperatively in a team, but also independently with little supervision
- Physically fit to endure the rigors of full-time fieldwork in all conditions

Permanent Position/191 hours per month
Hours of Work:
Ten-hour shifts, days, nights, and weekends.

Starting at $ 30.00 to 34.50/hour depending upon experience.
