Salary: $17.00/ hour for 40 hours per week

Education: Completion of Senior Secondary Schooling
Experience: minimum 2 years of experience needed.
Location: 4140 Hastings Street, Burnaby, BC V5C2J4
Main Duties:
· Prepare foods and beverages using equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, food processors, etc.
· Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers and oversee the kitchen operations.
· Estimate food requirements and costs and monitor and order supplies
· Coordinate and train Kitchen staff and helpers.
· Train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food and beverages.
· Maintain food and health and safety standards at all times.
· Have good knowledge of spices.
· May need to plan menus.
· Clean kitchen and work areas.
· Make sure the kitchen is clean and sanitized as per by-laws.
· Assist in determining the size of food portions.
· Make sure all the safety procedures are followed in the kitchen at all times.
· Responsible for making sure that food quality is as per required standards.
· Make sure all the equipments are working properly at all times.
· Report any breakage or fault in the machinery.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, physically demanding; Standing for extended periods. Must be able to supervise 2-3 people.
