Tasks: 
Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat, Wrap and package prepared meats, Remove bones from meat, Weigh meats for sale, Grind meats, Slice cooked meats, Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood

Work conditions and physical capabilities: 
Work under pressure, Fast-paced environment, Standing for extended periods, Physically demanding

Job Details: 

• Cut, trim, and otherwise prepare standard cuts of meat
• Grind and slice meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
• Prepare special displays of meat
• Shape, lace and tie roasts and other meats
• Manage inventory, keep records of sales and determine amount, product line and freshness of products according to company and customer requirements
• Ensure food storage conditions are adequate
• May supervise other butchers or meat cutters
